Prestigious?
I slept very early last night.

More like a nap though.
Woke up around 4 something, to study.
I'm not hardworking, just that I can study better at night. Hehe.
Babyboy and I felt hungry, thus we drove to HungryJack's to buy brekkie at 6 in the morning.

I can't remember when was the last time I was awake that early and had a proper brekkie. Hehe.
And I LOVE HungryJack's brekkie meals.
A good way to kick start the morning.Finals next week.
I can't believe in 2 weeks time, I'll be going home.
Woohoo.
But it also means that I'm leaving Brissy for good already.
It's a really mixed up feeling.

Part of me can't wait to get back, another part is just thinking twice, thrice, on whether my decision is the right one.
I just don't want to regret I guess. Was doing some search on the rankings of universities.
And it just made me think more on whether I should leave.
Because UniOfQueensland is like one of the prestigious uni in around.

So does graduating at a prestigious university matter a lot?
I'm not in anyway looking down at unis that are of lower ranking.
It's just that the working world is just so realistic.
If you graduate from a more prestigious uni, your application will thus be looked at 1st.
I applied to Monash both in Melb and KL, as well as to Metropolitan under the CurtinUni program.
Am not applying to HELP already as if I want to graduate with UQ's cert, I need to do my final year here at Brissy.
And NetteDoll said that I shouldn't bother to apply to Sunway's VictoriaUni program as it's not that good.
So my best choice is Monash only, as CurtinUni isn't one of the top unis.
But I'm just worried that I won't be accepted to Monash.
Not because my grades aren't good but because I stupidly missed my finals last semester.
So there's a 2/Fail grade on my transcript.
My CGPA would have been a 6 over the total of 7 if I hadn't miss the exam.
And because of such a silly mistake, my CGPA is pulled down to 4.5.
I feel so stupid and just pure silly. Sighs.
And also I might try to apply to NationalUniversityofSingapore (NUS).
It's like one of the most pretigious unis in AsiaPacific.
I should really study harder if I really want to get in.
As being one of the Top20UniversitiesInTheWorld, I'm sure their requirement is super high.

That being said, it's a shame that Msia hving 18 unis and not one of it made to the list of Top500WorldUniRanking.

There's a lil' article written by Lim Kit Siang,Parliamentary Opposition Leader, MP for Ipoh Timur & DAP Central Policy and Strategic Planning Commission Chairman.
You can read the entire article here.Talked to my Daddycool about my concerns.
And he said that if Monash won't take me in as a 2nd yr student, I shall start as a 1st yr student if that's what I want.
But but, I don't want to waste another year and more money.
And I'm really touched that my whole family is so supportive of me.
That being said, what should I do?

Should I stay back and continue in UQ even though that's not where my heart lies?
Or should I go back to my comfort zone and risk wasting more time and money?
All these questions and thinking is really disturbing me.
Anyways, I should get back to studyin now after spending much time lazing around.
And the weather now is super freakin cold.
I can feel the cold air like circulating around the entire hse.
Hope you guys will have a great weekend.
Prestigious. Does it really matters?* you are the weakness in me. *

thnx babes. shall see you soon back in kl. ; )
I'm at Rochester NY... hehe yea... 21 is a wild year for me and I hope it still is...
I am studying MBA and find that it is quite confusing when it comes to all these ranking in the world coz there are about 10 or more of them. Some are Australiaisa focused and some are South America oriented or some are European focused. You may check Financial Times ranking or Economist Intelligent Unit's ranking for reference if you are in Business & Management related otherwise Monash has got the best overall ranking in Australiasia. NUS is very reputable too if you so choose to study there, it ranked even higher than Monash especially after being affiliated with UCLA for graduated program these few years. They have international perspective and aim to compete globally. All da best!
Hey there bill. Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I really want to go and check out NUS. But hopefully my results will be good enough though. Hehe. ; )
woo interesting,, i didnt know NYU was on the international list.. makes me feel lil smarter haha jp ;-P... best of luckk!!
